The Hawaiian Islands

Some might say that to allow "Hawaii" as a correct answer is to be generous to a fault, as Hawai'i is a different island.

Hawai'i is the largest island in the Hawaiian archipelago. The second largest is Maui. Oahu is the third largest, but it's home to 80% of the state's population.

The fourth largest (552 square miles, to Oahu's 597) is Kaua'i, which had a population of just under 67,000 in 2010 (compared with Oahu's 953,000).

You might also say that to speak of "Pearl Harbour" is somewhat disrespectful to our American friends, as they spell it Pearl Harbor.
